When Ava was 4 months old, we starting noticing rough, dry patches on her back, legs and tummy. At first, I assumed she was having a reaction to the scented baby products I was using on her skin. So we switched to an unscented sensitive alternative, but the spots were still there. After seeing her pediatrician, we found that Ava was experiencing a mild case of baby eczema! I googled and read many mommy blog posts trying to find a natural solution when I stumbled across the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Baby Products.

Aveeno is known for making great natural skin care products and I personally use their products in my own skin care routine and love the results! (Skin care post coming soon !) So when I saw a line developed specifically for baby eczema I was excited to try. I went to Wal-Mart and bought the soothing bath treatment as well as the moisturizing creme.

*This is after about a month of use. Although these are not the best pictures, but you can see how even Ava’s skin tone got after use!

For bath time I used Aveeno’s Lavender Bath Wash followed by the eczema therapy moisturizing creme. 2 days a week I would soak and bathe Ava in the oatmeal bath for 5 mins , followed by the moisturizing creme. After only 2 weeks of use , I could see a difference in Ava’s skin! The spots were disappearing and the moisturizing creme left her skin soft and moisturized.

I highly recommend this product for mommies looking for a natural option to treat eczema. I will be buying the other products in this line ! It worked wonders for my baby girl! If you have have tried Aveeno’s Eczema Therapy products or another products that has treated your baby’s skin condition, please share your tips and findings below. The more options the better!

** Also, Ava’s Dr recommended that I cut out rice cereal from her diet , because it could cause flare ups with eczema.. I would also suggest try that!

My baby doctor also told me breast milk will make their skin pretty and clear.

It’s not easy. My baby want latch on so I’m a pumping mommy. I do half breast milk and half formula.

Its not easy at all , especially those night feedings. And that’s good you’re baby still gets the benefits of breastmilk!
